The listed further education programmes offer an opportunity to deal with the topic of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) and to deepen it in the context of teaching and learning.

Offers for lecturers

The following programmes for lecturers are currently available to provide an introduction to the topic of generative artificial intelligence. Further formats are being developed. Various other options can also be found under Resources.

Booster Workshops

The Unit for Teaching and Learning is offering a workshop on GenAI in Teaching & Learning as part of the Booster Workshop series as of autumn semester 2024. This booster will focus on how AI can be specifically integrated into teaching and learning contexts in a way that enables authentic assessment and real mastery of the required competences while highlighting the supportive potential of generative AI.

Didactica

external pageDidactica, the series for university didactics training at ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich, also offers an extensive range of diverse courses. These include the courses on Constructive Alignment with generative AI as well as Integrating ChatGPT and other AI-based tools in teaching and learning.

Refresh Teaching

The Refresh Teaching event series regularly addresses the topic of AI and its impact on teaching. Lecturers provide insights into their teaching and report on their own experiences.

Offers for students

In addition to the courses offered by the departments within the various study programmes, ETH Zurich offers additional courses for all students:

ETH Library

The ETH Library offers a varied programme of courses and workshops. These include the course Academic Writing with ChatGPT and other AI tools to improve the planning of texts with AI tools, the optimisation of the writing process and plagiarism prevention. The programme is currently being expanded in this area.

Student Project House

The SPH (Student Project House) at ETH Zurich offers various workshops on current topics. These include applied machine learning workshops with the aim of providing a basic understanding of the most important machine learning-based technologies - from large language models to computer vision.
